Laylatul Qadr blog 4-5- the story of Prophet Yusuf (AS)

Asaalam everyone,
It is nearly sehri Insha-Allah and I thought I need to write this blog, and also I heard a beautiful story the other day and wanted to tell it to you.
I just finished reading some Quran and thought, why not quickly write up this story, so here we go...
This is the story of Prophet Yusuf (AS):

The Prophet Yusuf (AS)was another Prophet's son. Yusuf's (AS) father was Prophet Yaqoob (AS), in the Bible, they are referred to as the Prophet Jacob (Yaqoob) and the Prophet Joseph (Yusuf).
They Prophet Yusuf (AS) had many brothers, but only one BLOOD brother.
Once, the Prophet Yusuf (AS) had a dream, which he told his father about, and his father there was something special about this dream. Something, that was special, in a good way.
However, he also knew telling his brothers would cause jealousy, and therefore told Yusuf (AS) not to tell his brothers about the dream.Yaqoob (AS) had a lot of love for Yusuf (AS) and would not let him out alone, but as his brothers were beginning to envy him, they decided to beg the Dad to let him go to graze the sheep with them, so they could complete the plan they had devised, to get rid, of Yusuf (AS)...

After lots of beginning, Yaqoob (AS) gave his permission, and when they took Yusuf (AS) along with them, they threw him into a well, after making him take his shirt off, which they rubbed blood onto (from a slaughtered animal) to convince Yacoob (AS) that Yusuf (AS) had been eaten by a wolf.

Yaqoob (AS) knew it was not true, but said that Allah will reunite him and his son if it is written.

Yusuf (AS) was found, but he was sold, as a slave to the slave market, and as Yusuf (AS) was very handsome, news of him spread around, people tried to buy him, but eventually it was the King who bought him and said to his wife they will raise him like he was their own child. Zulaikha, which was the name of the King's wife, however, did not go as per this, she followed him around the castle, she tried to tempt him, but he would not break. Once, she even tried to take advantage of him, and his shirt got torn from the back. The King entered, and seeing the position, thought that Zulakhia was innocent, but that Yusuf (AS) was guilty. A baby, however, spoke, and said that if his shirt is ripped from the back then she is lying, and if his shirt is ripped from the front then he is lying. Obviously, Yusuf's (AS) shirt was ripped from the back.

Soon, rumours spread and more and more people started talking about Zulakhia.
Zulakhia tried to prove that the only reason it had happen was because of his beauty, and therefore called a group of 40 women, and they cut fruit whilst there, when Yusuf (AS) walked in, they cut through the fruit and cut their fingers. However, they started saying that he must be an angel, Zulakhia was not happy and begged her husband to prison Yusuf (AS), and her husband eventually gave in, also thinking if he is prisoned he will be the talk of the town and no longer his wife. At the same time Yusuf (AS) was prisoned, two others were. One who served one to the king, and the king's chef. They had each had a dream and thought that Yusuf (AS) looked wise, so they explained their dreams to him and he told them that the chef will be executed but the wine server will be let free. Yusuf (AS) asked the wine server to tell the King of his innocence when he is let free. Yusuf (AS) was right and one was executed while the other let free, and in his happiness he forgot what Yusuf had asked him to do until the King himself had a dream and asked if there was anyone who could tell him what it meant, as after asking many others he discovered no one at all knew what it meant.
This is when the wine server remembered and told the King that someone in the prison could help and that he was innocent.

So, the King said, if he is right, he can be let free. Yusuf (AS) told him what his dream meant, and the King thought it made sense, so he let him free, and said he wanted to sue his knowledge. However, Yusuf (AS) refused, he wanted to be proven innocent. Zulakhia had begun to feel guilty over time and proved Yusuf's (AS) innocence.

So Yusuf (AS) was freed, but he knew he would meet hisbrothers again...

Insha-Allah I will continue this story tommorow, for now:
